The Bow - An Important Ritual in the Martial Arts
The bow is what makes Martial Arts so different from all other activities. At the American Karate Institute showing courtesy and respect to your teacher and to your fellow students is an important non religious ritual. American Karate Institute builds so much confidence that when a student becomes cocky and arrogant, the bow reminds him to be humble. Only through being humble can a student gasp the essence of his martial arts training which will in turn teach him to apply all lessons learned to live a life to their fullest potential.
